Why Vocational Training?

Not every learner follows a traditional academic path—and for many in Northern Uganda, vocational training offers a practical route to sustainable livelihoods. The Foundation supports scholarships to vocational institutes that equip youth with hands-on skills that translate directly to job opportunities or entrepreneurial ventures

What We Offer

  • Financial support to attend vocational or technical training, alongside primary and higher education opportunities.
  •
  • Practical skill-building in trades, digital literacy, entrepreneurship, and livelihood activities.
  • Life-skills mentoring to support confidence, financial independence, and a mindset for growth.

Impact at a Glance

Over the past five years, Nyero Foundation has sponsored 50 beneficiaries to pursue primary, secondary, university, and vocational education— opening doors beyond the classroom.:contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}

Transforming Lives Through Skills

Our vocational training support isn’t only about education—it’s about equipping individuals with capabilities that echo in their futures:

  • Graduates entering trades or starting small businesses.
  • Increased household incomes and economic resilience.
  • Communities gaining skilled artisans, technicians, and entrepreneurs.

Looking Ahead

Nyero Foundation aims to expand support for vocational learners—connecting more young adults with training that meets market needs and builds sustainable livelihoods.

By investing in vocational education, we’re investing in independence, opportunity, and a brighter future for more Ugandans.
