Changing lives through sports, education, and empowerment in Northern Uganda.
Since our founding, Nyero Foundation has touched the lives of over 1,000 children, youth, and adults through a range of sports and education programs. From villages and schools to community centers, our initiatives have created safe spaces for growth, learning, and healing.
Through our Coaches’ Training Program, we have equipped local volunteer coaches with the tools and knowledge to deliver quality mentorship. Trained coaches now provide inclusive, gender-sensitive guidance to young athletes, ensuring that every child has the chance to thrive in sports and in life.
We’ve built partnerships with local clubs, providing them with resources, equipment, and structured support to strengthen grassroots sports. These clubs are more than just teams—they are platforms for young people to find belonging, discipline, and leadership.
Girls in our programs are breaking barriers in education and sports. By promoting equal participation, we have opened doors for young women to compete, learn, and grow into role models for their communities.
Sports have become a powerful tool for healing and unity in post-conflict Northern Uganda. Our leagues and tournaments bring together youth from diverse backgrounds, fostering friendships, teamwork, and peace.
Behind every number is a story—a child who gained confidence through football, a girl who stayed in school because of our support, a coach who became a mentor to dozens of young athletes. These stories remind us that impact is not only measured in figures, but also in lives changed.
Our vision is to expand our programs, train more coaches, and reach thousands more children across Uganda. With continued support from our partners and donors, we will keep using sports and education as powerful tools for transformation.
Together, we are building a generation of leaders who will shape a brighter future for their communities.
