Chieng Nguen is a passionate young footballer playing as a forward for Forum Sports Under 13 in the Kumalo Sports League. Originally from South Sudan, Chieng was forced to relocate to Uganda due to conflict in his home country. As a result, he had to restart school at a much lower level, which has been one of his biggest challenges.
He now lives in Pece Prison with his uncle, who works in a factory, and is part of a large extended family of 16 members. His parents remain in South Sudan.
Despite the setbacks, Chieng has found hope and motivation through the Nyero Foundation’s support. He deeply appreciates the opportunities provided by the foundation and encourages other children to stay disciplined and work hard to achieve their dreams.
