Originally from South Sudan, Chan is currently living in Uganda as a refugee and resides with his elder brother, a university student. His parents remain in South Sudan, where his mother works as a medical doctor. Coming from a large family of eight siblings, Chan has embraced his new environment in Uganda through sports. He shared that playing in the league has significantly helped him settle, build friendships, and develop socially. He encourages other refugee children to seize opportunities like the Kumalo Sports League, not just to nurture their talents but also to form bonds and stay focused on their goals.
