She aspires to become an agriculturalist, a dream sparked by her love for farming and caring for animals. Jovia comes from a large family of 20 siblings. She lives with her father and stepmother after her parents' separation. Her mother, a peasant farmer, is not living with her, and Jovia has always missed her. Her father is a poultry farmer, and Jovia’s home life has been challenging at times due to her family’s circumstances. She plays as a striker for the Elite Girls team in the Kumalo Sports League. Jovia notes that while life has been tough, joining the Kumalo Sports League football program has helped her manage her depression and feel more connected to others. Football has been a source of joy, helping her cope with the challenges she faces at home. Jovia is hopeful that with continued support from Nyero Foundation, she will be able to pursue her dream of becoming an agriculturalist and build a better future for herself.
